If nothing else, this Michael Ian Black-penned romantic comedy generates actual laughter, unlike Stella-mate Michael Showalter’s wretched rom-com The Baxter.
It’s like he thought the end was actually nigh and cobbled his cinematic bucket list into a single film.
Fans of Ferrell’s usual schtick already know what to expect with this one, and will be thoroughly entertained. While Farrell’s more subdued roles are still my favorites, Semi-Pro is probably the film I’d want to watch again if I had to choose from the rest of his catalogue.
Dawn is a good girl who preaches abstinence until an allegedly good boy tries to rape her and she discovers that her vagina has sharp teeth.
