Rainbow Around the Sun

Rainbow Around the Sun follows the story of hard-drinking musician Zachary Blasto, who retreats into an elaborate fantasy world when confronted with his life problems. Eventually, the real world and fantasy world begin to intermix, and Blasto is forced to deal with his real-world issues when the characters of his fantasy world no longer play along and comfort him.

Semi-Pro

Fans of Ferrell’s usual schtick already know what to expect with this one, and will be thoroughly entertained. While Farrell’s more subdued roles are still my favorites, Semi-Pro is probably the film I’d want to watch again if I had to choose from the rest of his catalogue.

Son of Rambow

Son of Rambow follows the story of two British schoolchildren: a trouble making bully and his complete opposite, a small, shy boy raised in a religious sect. After both are exposed to the extreme carnage and violence of the forbidden film Rambo: First Blood, the duo team up to create a homemade version entitled Son of Rambow.

Juno’s script reads like a normal screenplay processed through some kind of indie-hipster translation machine. Replace every word or phrase in every line with some other ‘cooler’ way of saying the same thing and bingo; you have the secret to Juno’s ‘refreshing’ dialogue.
